There were a couple periods in my life when I drank pretty well. And it is drinks like these that make me glad I stopped ('cause I probably did half of them in college at Inner Town Pub).

I just watched president Bush's whine-fest speech this morning, and I was truly struck at what he said. Because he said absolutely nothing.

Seriously, it was about ten minutes of nothing but hyperboles. Absolutely no facts, no examples, nothing. Simply "FISA good, democrats bad", "telecoms NEED immunity, otherwise they no help again", "9/11", "terrorist will win without this", "9/11" and "this is a partisan manipulation by democrats". Reduced to its essence, Bush was basically saying "Do what I want because it is what I want!"

Nothing. Of. Substance. Whatsoever.

Talk about timely...
