Apologies if any of our loyal readers is actually a Scientologist, but y'all are crazier than those who take the Bible literally. Way crazier.

Odds are pretty good to offend a Christian. The ten COMMANDMENTS, the supposed ACTUAL WORDS OF GOD, aren't meant to be taken literally? I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Bible's timeline also, and not necessarily its substance. But let's explore some real craziness for a minute, since we opened that floodgate. Please indulge my blasphemy, and accept my insincere apologies...
Exodus 20

"4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me"

Jealousy is a pretty mortal emotion eh? Not supreme enough to overcome insecurity towards trinkets and statues? By the way, what would God say if this "God fearing" nation of Christians "punished the children" for the iniquities of their illegal immigrant parents? DO as I command, but don't DO as I command?

7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.

OMFG
Verse after verse sounds to me like misguided antiquated HUMAN- served and conceived bullshit. And how is this different from Scientology? Oooooh yeah, Scientology hasn't yet KILLED countless non- believers! LOL

Those offended probably are not very secure in their beliefs.

You know, most of Christianity is not specifically the worship of the old testament - that is orthodox Judaism. I know there are sects that still call themselves Christian, that love to use the old testament stuff as a means of fearmongering crowd control.

The "Christ" part of Christian comes from the new testament, which presented a kinder/gentler message with a possibility of parole (and an escape of sins from the fathers or past violations of commandments)...

I thought I heard something about Scientologists and some questionable deaths - but then they really have not been around for the 2K+ years it takes to get rolling into quite the murderous mob.
